The Democratic chairman of the U.S. House judiciary committee said on Wednesday that an agreement has been reached to hear testimony from Special Counsel Robert Muelleron his probe into Russian election interference and possible attempts by President Donald Trump to impede the probe, Reuters news agency reported.

Representative Jerry Nadler told reporters the agreement was for Mueller to testify sometime in May. The date has yet to be determined.

Democrats have called for the special counsel to testify since the release of the redacted Mueller report. Mueller recently wrote a letter to the US Attorney General William Barr expressing frustration with how Barr characterized the conclusions of his investigation into potential ties between Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia.
